Established in 1980, the company has throughout it's twenty-six year history firmly adopted a specific customer satisfaction policy.  Formal recognition of this being our accreditation to the British and International standard, BS EN ISO 9002 : 1994, which has been updated to meet the recently introduced BS EN ISO 9001 : 2000 standard.

County Motor Services in 2006 has been voted in the top 100 garages for repairs by Motor Trade Magazine. It has also been voted top 5 by RAC for Recovery Services.

We specialise in Recovery, Repair and MOT services for South Wales, from our bases in Newport Gwent and Ebbw Vale.

From our infancy of mechanical repair when originally founded, with only a small customer driven need for vehicle recovery services, County Motor Services Limited has grown into providing one of South Wales premier family and commercial vehicle servicing and repair centres with extensive vehicle recovery services covering the whole of Gwent and South East Wales.

We currently operate in excess of a dozen front line vehicle recovery and service units designed to resolve any situation that breakdowns and road traffic incidents dictate.

We take great pride and care to ensure that our customers vehicles receive the individual attention that every vehicle owner desires when an emergency occurs. Our vehicle recovery technicians are subject to continual on-going training and are fully competent and certificated in ADR, First Aid, Safe Working Practices and Vehicle Recovery ( including winching, Use of Cranes, and Transportation ).

A 24 hour control room ensures that we are able to react quickly to calls for assistance. Our staff are trained to determine not only the precise location of the casualty vehicle but also the type of assistance and recovery vehicle required.

County Motor Services Limited have expanded with a new base open near Ebbw Vale in North Gwent in 2002.  Facilities match those found in Newport, where experience has taught us that customer service satisfaction can only be achieved with facilities that are able to meet customer requirements.

Our fleet of recovery vehicles based in Newport are able to undertake swift responses to accidents and breakdowns in South East Wales including the M4, M48, A449, A48,  A4042 A472, and the A467.

Our premises have three service bays, an MOT bay, secure internal and external vehicle storage, 6 vehicle lifting ramps up to 8 tons, a commercial vehicle pit, a fully computerised 24 hour control room with Turbo Dispatch, a fast moving parts store, including tyre and battery services.

Dependent upon instructions, we are able to either transport vehicles to their onward destination of effect repairs in our extensive workshops.  In an effort to assist customers, and as part of our expanding service strategy, we provide courtesy vehicles where appropriate.

In addition to our fleet of recovery vehicles we operate specialist service vans that incorporate a tyre and battery service.  In winter months especially, we find that there is a growing need for a swift response that enable stricken motorists to quickly be on the move again.  This often being a priority with many of our customers.

We provide a comprehensive repair and service facility for all makes of vehicles from family cars to commercial vehicles.  Our MOT testing station is ably supported by fully qualified and experienced mechanical and electrical technicians.

Within our control room facility we maintain individual vehicle records which enables us to monitor and guide our customers in their efforts to maximise economic efficiency in the care of individual or fleet vehicles.  With the continuing rise in the cost of motoring, both for the private and commercial user, we feel this is a valuable asset in controlling motoring expenditure.

Both the premises and secure external vehicle compound are protected by 24 hour CCTV directly linked to our comprehensive alarm system monitored by Red Care
